Ink is then added to the top of the stenciled screen, and a squeegee pulls the ink across it, pushing the ink through the stencil and imprinting it onto the fabric below through the open spaces in the stencil of your design.

Tips for designing custom screen-printed apparel include:

• Stick to one or two colours in your design and contrast them with the colour of the garment.
• Place the print approximately four inches below the collar of a shirt or sweater. Do not centre it to the front of the garment.
• Don’t design a print that is too busy or that reaches the bottom of the garment.
